Generative AI has effectively solved the problem of creation.

What it has not solved—and in fact has amplified—is the problem of verification. Content today is instant, unlimited, and almost free to produce.

However, trust, belief, and credibility did not scale at the same pace.

This has created a fundamental shift in the digital landscape:Creation is now frictionless

• Distribution is essentially free • Uncertainty is increasing • Credibility must be actively proven, not assumed

AI excels at optimizing speed, scale, and plausibility.

But truth, accountability, and contextual judgment still require systems, intent, and human oversight.

The key insight is simple but critical: AI didn’t break trust.

It priced it. In the GenAI era, competitive advantage will not come from creating more content. It will come from clearly signaling what is real—by verifying authenticity, establishing provenance, and demonstrating credibility at every step.

Trust has become the scarcest resource. And therefore, the most valuable one.
