Last month, I had the privilege of serving as a judge at HackMIT.
The students' unwavering commitment to growth reminded me of my younger self.
Here are the 11 lessons that young students imparted during the hackathon:
- Your failures are a sign of your growth.
- Respect your time to make the most of it.
- Bouncing back from setbacks is what matters.
- Be flexible and adjust to changing circumstances.
- Challenge the status quo and think outside the box.
- Don't hesitate to seek answers and seek mentorship.
- Stay curious, ask questions, and explore new horizons.
- A focused mind keeps you on track regardless of distractions.
- Being open to asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness.
- Have the spirit for a collaborative approach to clear your path in the competitive world.
Any 11th point you'd like to add to the list?
The judge position doesn't come with responsibilities only but also teaches you beyond professional boundaries.
